Assessment 5

For this assessment, the strategy will focus on self-assessment, allowing students to reflect on their own speaking performance. The macro skill being evaluated is speaking, and the activity will require students to say sentences aloud, assessing their pronunciation and fluency.

 Macro skill: Speaking

Age of student: 4 years old

 Topic: body parts

Performance indicator: Students will identify and name body parts by speaking and evaluating their own performance.

Description of the activity: The teacher will present body parts flashcards to the students, introducing and modeling the correct pronunciation. After practicing as a group, the teacher will guide each student individually to say a specific sentence or vocabulary related to body parts (e.g. "This is my nose" or "This is my eye").

Each student will receive a self-assessment checklist on a piece of paper. The checklist will include simple statements with emoji faces (😊 😐 ☹️). After saying their sentence, students will reflect on their own performance and choose the emoji that best represents how they feel about their pronunciation and confidence.
